Beverly was first involved in the writing of grants to get funds for staff and provided leadership for the first opening of the Multicultural Family Center on White Street in July 2005.  She continued to serve as Treasurer when the MFC moved in September 2009 to its current location at 1157 Central Avenue.  Beverly's career included being an educator with Iowa State University.  After 40 years she retired to spend more time with family and friends.  During her free time now, she keeps busy with her seven grandchildren.  Beverly believes that at the heart of the Multicultural Family Center is relationships - bringing the community together through cultural, generational, and other opportunities for families to grow and learn at a welcoming center for all.
